Summer Circuit Workout

Helllo! I hope you’re having a fabulous weekend!

Let’s talk about workouts. Do you tend to repeat the same workouts over and over? Or do you cross train, mixing up running, biking, and other forms of strength training? Running is my go-to form of cardio, but sometimes I need a reminder that it’s refreshing to mix it up and try something new. It’s always good to use different muscles or challenge yourself in new ways. Whether you love trying new workouts or have been in a rut, doing the same old, same old, this is the workout for you! This Summer Circuit Workout is sure to make you sweat as you complete a full-body workout.


Summer Circuit Workout



Complete each exercise in a circuit for 1 minute before moving on to the next exercise. Complete each mini circuit 3 times before moving on to the next circuit. The entire workout takes 45 minutes. Rest as needed, and remember to drink water throughout. So grab a pair of dumbbell weights of your choice, throw those sneakers on, and let’s go!! I wore my compression sleeves to help with my shin splints if case you’re wondering what those are! I also clearly need to do laundry because my workout clothes are pretty colorful :)

I completed this workout this afternoon and was a sweaty mess by the time I was finished. It was a good one! I tried to brainstorm a variety of exercises to incorporate both cardio and strength training throughout. Feel free to make modifications based on your current fitness level or preference. It’s ok to realize halfway through the jump rope circuit that jump roping is not a part of your future in life, fling it down on the grass, and run around the yard as fast as you can to get that cardio in. I may or may not be speaking from personal experience. Overall, I did enjoy this workout and think you will too! Since you only complete each exercise for a minute at a time, the workout does go by pretty quickly so you can’t get bored by doing the same thing for too long.

Eating Vegan- Update

Since last Monday, I’ve been eating Vegan. If you haven’t yet, read about my decision to start here! I originally planned to just try it out for a week, but after I started realized that a week really isn’t long enough to make an educated decision about anything. Within a week, your body has just begun to adjust to eating differently, so I know I need to take more time to see how I feel once my body had adjusted. I know for a few days in the middle of the week I felt pretty irritable and couldn’t seem to shake my bad mood. Today, though, I feel the best I have since I started this challenge. I feel great and am loving it!

I’m not sure how long I’ll continue eating vegan for, but I will probably continue for 2-3 weeks. After that, I’ll see how I feel and decide if I want to continue or work certain foods back into my diet. It’s all about balance and listening to your body!
