New Blog Name!!!

While my blog started off with a focus on teaching, cooking, and fitness, it has evolved into much more of a healthy living blog than a resource for teaching. Since this is the direction I see my blog going in the future, I wanted my new blog name to reflect that. Of course this doesn’t mean that I’ll never write about teaching, or other parts of my life! I’m excited to share my journey with you, with a focus on leading a (mostly!) healthy lifestyle.

 

I’ve been running for the past few years, but my love for the hobby has only increased over time. In the past year, I’ve completed many more races, including a 10-miler, half marathon, and lots of 5K’s. I’ve enjoyed doing the 5K’s with new friends from the gym! As you can see in my pictures below, I’ve been running all over the place!

Fitness is important, but so is taking time to relax and enjoying treats once in a while too! Studies show that if you don’t have a balance in life, you’re more likely to overdo it later. For example, if you never treat yourself, when you do have that brownie, chances are it’s going to turn into half the pan of brownies. Having a balance in life is essential to leading a healthy, happy life.

 

Having a balance means taking time to spend with friends and family. Having a balance means getting that long run in, and making that batch of chocolate chip cookies too. For me, having a balance means running and working in some weight-lifting sessions too. Having a balance means being passionate about what you do and working hard, but not bringing home so much extra work that you don’t have time to breathe, or do anything else!

 

A balanced life is a happy life! To share my love of fitness, cooking, and teaching, with a balanced perspective, my new blog name is going to be….
